Mom's Fried Pasta Chips
Mom's Fried Pasta Chips are a crispy and addictive snack that transforms leftover pasta into a delightful treat. Perfect for munching on during movie nights or as an appetizer for gatherings, these crunchy chips are quick and easy to make.
Ingredients:
- 250g pasta such as penne or fusilli
- Vegetable oil for frying
- Salt to taste
- Optional: grated Parmesan cheese for topping
Instructions:
Cook the pasta in boiling salted water according to package instructions until al dente
Drain the cooked pasta and spread it out on a baking sheet to cool and dry slightly for about 10 minutes
Heat vegetable oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350F 175C
Fry the cooked pasta in batches until golden brown and crispy, about 2-3 minutes per batch
Remove the fried pasta chips from the oil and drain on paper towels
Season with salt while still hot
Sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese if desired
Serve warm and enjoy!
