Sweet Potato - Ruth's Chris Style
Ingredients:
- 4 large sweet potatoes
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans
- 1/4 cup maple syrup
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
Instructions:
Warm the oven up to 190C 375F
Clean the sweet potatoes well and use a paper towel to dry them
Use a fork to make several holes in the sweet potatoes
Put the sweet potatoes on a foil-covered baking sheet
Place in an oven that has already been heated for 45 to 60 minutes, or until soft
In the meantime, melt the butter and mix it with the brown sugar, chopped pecans, maple syrup, ground cinnamon, and salt in a small bowl
Cut the sweet potatoes out of the oven and let them cool down a bit
Make a cut down the middle of each sweet potato, but don't go all the way through
Fill each sweet potato with the butter and pecan mixture that you just made
Put the stuffed sweet potatoes back in the oven and bake for another 10 to 15 minutes, until the topping is bubbly and golden
Enjoy while hot!
